Shh!!!! Don't tell DH

Hi out there in blogland....
today I had to go on a bit of a road trip to visit one of those government agencies that we all love so much (hate dealing with them!!!! very frustrating to say the least!) anyway, I waffle

.....paint store for the paint that of course is no longer available!!!! more frustrastion......

.....the lighting shop, kitchen fluro decided to quit on Thursday night.....doing things in the kitchen by the light from the rangehood...quite entertaining at times....

decided to make a little side trip for myself to Mrs Martins, and this is my little parcel (all nicely hidden now, so no telling!!!!!)
A cute little selection of wool felts, $3 per little scrap bag, a great way to add to the collection with colours that you may not use a great deal of, some gorgeous wide ric rac and a DMC thread.
And that's not to mention what I bought home last Friday after a visit to Sandlyn House (no blog)......2 new books that I have been looking at for a long while, a 60 degree ruler, and some lovely FQ's, all at 40% off. Justified as being for my birthday in a couple of weeks...how good is that!

And lastly I have been sewing, here are some things that I have been playing around with....
and these....
well, that's it for now,
take care until next time....

Inspiration....

just went outside to take some pics of my gorgeous roses, as I was very inspired by the beautiful pics of Linda's garden here.
this is Pegasus (above) and below is Just Joey and Whiskey

and some of Grannies Bonnets, just love these!

and my favourite rose of all is this one, Julia's Rose, just adore the beautiful colour and shape of the flowers, smells gorgeous too!
And as I finish this post, it's starting to rain! Just as well that I took these photos when I did, cos all the blooms will be spoilt soon. Not complaining about the rain though....we need heaps of it, so rain, rain, rain, all the day and night.
Hope you enjoyed a little look around my garden.

Surprise!

Hi everyone,
another post, 2 in 2 days, whatever is going on!!!!
Well, today I went down the street to do some shopping and when I got back the parcel delivery guy had left me some much anticipated parcels.

This one is from my Secret Stitchers Angel, you know who you are....
this is what I got....very lucky me!
and then I started to unpack the box.....and then unwrapped all the blue tissue paper pressies, and inside was this gorgeous collection of items.....
inside was a thread catcher (Sue Daley's design), a scissor keeper (Lynette Andersons), a covered tape measure, a pincushion (I'm starting to get a really good collection of these!), a little project bag (Natalie Lymer), an armchair caddy (Hugs from Helen), Halloween marshmallows, 2 lots of Ferrero chocolate, another small block of chocolate, a very cute little box and finally some needles inside a needle keeper! Don't think I forgot anything...

aren't I the lucky one!!!

Thank you to my Secret Stitcher Angel, you are definitely an ANGEL!!!! I was totally speechless as I unpacked everything from this box. All I can say is that crafty people are just so generous with their time and their giving and to my swap partner a big big

THANK YOU!

With that all said and done, see you next time and take care,
Julz

I'm Back.....

Hi everyone,

well it's been a couple of weeks since my last post.
Working almost everyday for the last 2 weeks, when I haven't,
I've been doing the housework. This week is back to normal....almost.

Regina has received her book from post below,
and this is the other little surprise I made her.

And, my Secret Angel Stitcher recipicent has received another parcel and this is what was inside. Does it look familiar?

I'm on the lookout for a big box of goodies from my own partner who has been very very sneaky sending me lovely ecards....wondering who it is???? I know, everything will be revealed very soon....can't wait. I hope that all of you Secret Stitchers Angels out there have recevived some lovely things. Thank you to Helen for organising it all, it's been so much fun.

I have also been busy stitching for the next addition of TCCT out soon, here is a sneak peek....

Can you guess what he might be?

take care until next time,
Julz
